Etsy Wedding Team Helps Haiti

I am sooo proud to be a member of the Etsy Wedding Team – a great group of artisans joining together to help raise money for the Haiti earthquake victims.  They make beautiful items, share feelings, and are always available to help other team members.

This team fundraising event will be running from January 29 2010 – February 12 2010 to help Haiti which was ravaged by earthquakes on January 12, 2010.  All items listed have been generously donated by various Etsy Wedding Team Members.  All proceeds from sales, less etsy and paypal fees, will be donated to The American Red Cross Haiti Relief and Development.  Coco from http://handmadenews.org wrote an awesome article about this event.  Please click on the photo below to check it out, and give a thumbs up!! If you have the time, blog about this event, tweet it, facebook it, do whatever you can to help us get the word out, we would really appreciate it!

Bridal Extravaganza Contest Winner Announced!

Thank you to all the brides, grooms, their families and friends who stopped by my booth last Sunday at the Bridal Extravaganza Show.  There was a steady stream of brides walking the aisles, talking to over 75 vendors, tasting delicious cakes and food and buying gowns at the bridal gown sale sponsored by Elegant Lace Bridal.

I always have a contest at the Bridal Extravaganza to give brides a chance to win a handmade necklace and earrings set, made of cubic zirconia and Swarovski crystals.
Congratulations to Maria Alcala, who will be married on May 29, 2010 in San Jose!

Many brides stopped to look at my photo display of jewelry worn by brides and models.  The favorite of the day was my feather flower with rhinestones and flowing ostrich feathers, 4″ diameter on a 2″ hair pin – $125.   Contact me to order your hair accessory or to schedule an appointment for a complimentary consultation to discuss your jewelry, hair accessories or veil – 408-871-7064 or mobile 408-206-5949.

Bridal Fair Tips:
Attending a show can be overwhelming with so many things to see and people to talk to.
Bring your groom, wedding party and parents, too.
Plan on taking breaks during the show.
Find a place to sit and relax.
Think about what you have seen and heard.
Decide if you want more time to ask other questions.
Remember you are trying to save time and stress so maximize this opportunity.
Wear comfortable shoes, have labels with your name, address, contact number, email and wedding date.

HOPE TO SEE YOU THERE!

New Year…New Logo…New Website Template

Happy New Year!

A new decade…twenty ten…life is going by way too fast!

When I saw the Blue Moon on New Year’s Eve, I thought…”I need a change.  This year is going to be different – I just need to make it happen!”

So…I immediately got started ‘mucking’ with Photoshop (I know enough to get myself in trouble) and came up with a new logo – the swirls on the side…in shades of nature.  After many hours, I was finally satisfied with the look and the colors.  But wait…it needed something more…the swirls inside the letter ‘o’.  They remind me of ocean waves.

I then got to work on the new template for my website, designing a new HOME page with great photos…and of course, using the new logo.  What do you think?
