Thinking of wearing a hair flower on your wedding day? Custom hair flowers can be made to work with your hair style, coordinate with your gowns embellishment and your jewelry, and tie in with your wedding theme (i.e., vintage, boho, … Continue reading
You know the image your photographer takes of your wedding dress…hanging up on the door sill/window ledge…before you put your dress on? No more plastic hangers from the bridal store…or older wooden hangers from the closet. Now your picture will look beautiful with a nice hanger to compliment your gown.
Your choice of embellishment: custom color flower, add a rhinestone BRIDE brooch OR…add some bling with a round 2″ rhinestone brooch or vintage-style hair clip 2.75″ long – remove from the hanger and wear them anytime! Hangers are 17″ long, fully padded with batting – not foam – and has buttons on each end for your dress straps.
These make great gifts or photography props.

It’s all about the details! Knowing the details are ‘just right’, helps you to look and feel beautiful when you walk down the aisle and you’ll be assured everything coordinates – your gown, your hair, your jewelry. Not that people at the wedding will notice the details, but HE will…and YOU will. Kiara needed some custom hair accessories for her ‘modern-rustic-bohemian’ wedding in Carmel Valley. I worked with Kiara’s makeup and hair stylist, Liz Chang, Skyla-Arts Makeup and Hair, to create a look that would highlight her hairstyle and be the finishing touch on what she had envisioned for her wedding day (but not be overpowering!).
Since Kiara’s jewelry and ring were gold, I used my Amy Hair Comb as in inspiration to start creating and customizing pieces for Kiara. I made a delicate silk and organza hair flower with a gold rhinestone centerpiece and added some ivory velvet leaves to give it a rustic look. I created separate hairpins using freshwater pearls and gold plated rhinestone pieces to match the center of the hair flower. These separate pieces gave Liz the flexibility to add the accessories to Kiara’s hair style in just the right position. Kiara looked sooooo pretty! Kudos to Erica Chan Photography for the beautiful images!

You know that ‘bag of extra beads’ that comes attached to your wedding gown? Or that embellished belt or strap on your gown that you won’t use? I can use the crystals and beads from your gown to make a customized hair accessory just for you!
Bride Elizabeth came to my shop with a strap she removed from her gown. She wanted some combs and hair pins made for her wedding day hair style…and a comb for her mom…and a fabric flower pin for her Grandmother using her beads as the center embellishment in the flower. Below are some of the final accessories I made using her crystals and beads. Everyone close to Elizabeth received a special gift from her and shared in wearing a piece of her wedding gown on her special day 🙂
