I was sooo excited to be featured on the Wedding Chicks “Vendor Happy Hour” on January 15th! A big shout out THANK YOU to Anna Kim Photography for such a beautiful picture of Janice…on her wedding day at Haiku Mill located on Maui. Janice came to my shop inquiring about jewelry and hair accessories to match her sparkling Jimmy Choo shoes and her beautiful wedding gown. She choose a beautiful set of gold hairpins with freshwater pearls and rhinestones and a matching 3 strand bracelet. Her earrings were gold plated CZ chandeliers and she finished off her look with a sheer veil. She looked amazing!

I always recommend a bride have some sort of accessory in her hair. A touch of sparkle looks elegant and beautiful as she walks down the aisle…veil or no veil, this will show in all of your photos. And for … Continue reading
This is one of my favorite hair flowers…so delicate and versatile! Each flower is handmade with freshwater pearl and rhinestone vines. Wear one, two or three…with or without a veil…it catches the light and sparkles through your veil as you walk down the aisle. A beautiful accessory with any hairstyle, the comb measures approximately 2″x2″ on a metal hair comb. Etsy brides Lauren and Megan wore two in their up-dos, placed side-by-side to form one larger pearl flower.

It’s all about the details! Knowing the details are ‘just right’, helps you to look and feel beautiful when you walk down the aisle and you’ll be assured everything coordinates – your gown, your hair, your jewelry. Not that people at the wedding will notice the details, but HE will…and YOU will. Kiara needed some custom hair accessories for her ‘modern-rustic-bohemian’ wedding in Carmel Valley. I worked with Kiara’s makeup and hair stylist, Liz Chang, Skyla-Arts Makeup and Hair, to create a look that would highlight her hairstyle and be the finishing touch on what she had envisioned for her wedding day (but not be overpowering!).
Since Kiara’s jewelry and ring were gold, I used my Amy Hair Comb as in inspiration to start creating and customizing pieces for Kiara. I made a delicate silk and organza hair flower with a gold rhinestone centerpiece and added some ivory velvet leaves to give it a rustic look. I created separate hairpins using freshwater pearls and gold plated rhinestone pieces to match the center of the hair flower. These separate pieces gave Liz the flexibility to add the accessories to Kiara’s hair style in just the right position. Kiara looked sooooo pretty! Kudos to Erica Chan Photography for the beautiful images!
