The Historic Opera House in Los Gatos

The Opera House is one of my favorite venues for a party (had my husband’s birthday party there – sooooo much fun).  It is an historic landmark in downtown Los Gatos, with beautiful rooms reflecting a era of the past, an awesome mahogany bar, a wrap-around balcony for people to view the scene in the ballroom and a spacious bride’s room.  But, I have to say, THE best feature of The Opera House are the Village Caterer’s.  Run by Erik and Tony, the food is absolutely THE best in the area!  For each event, Tony spends time with the bride and groom, discussing all the details from food, decor, vendors…pretty much everything you need to make your event a success.  The Village Caterer’s periodically hosts a tasting event – the rooms are decorated as it would be for your wedding or event, appetizers are prepared and a selection of wine is ready for tasting.  Then…the food…Erik prepares an awesome menu so you can taste a variety of dishes to please any one.
