Customizing Your Wedding Day Accessories

It’s all about the details!  Knowing the details are ‘just right’, helps you to look and feel beautiful when you walk down the aisle and you’ll be assured everything coordinates – your gown, your hair, your jewelry.  Not that people at the wedding will notice the details, but HE will…and YOU will.  Kiara needed some custom hair accessories for her ‘modern-rustic-bohemian’ wedding in Carmel Valley.  I worked with Kiara’s makeup and hair stylist, Liz Chang, Skyla-Arts Makeup and Hair, to create a look that would highlight her hairstyle and be the finishing touch on what she had envisioned for her wedding day (but not be overpowering!).

Since Kiara’s jewelry and ring were gold, I used my Amy Hair Comb as in inspiration to start creating and customizing pieces for Kiara.  I made a delicate silk and organza hair flower with a gold rhinestone centerpiece and added some ivory velvet leaves to give it a rustic look.  I created separate hairpins using freshwater pearls and gold plated rhinestone pieces to match the center of the hair flower.  These separate pieces gave Liz the flexibility to add the accessories to Kiara’s hair style in just the right position.  Kiara looked sooooo pretty!  Kudos to Erica Chan Photography for the beautiful images!
